Important Notice for Users of the TTL Converter III for Nikon

Thank you for your continued preference of SEA&SEA products.
When using the TTL Converter III for Nikon with a Fuji S5Pro camera or a Nikon D300 camera, if the converter is connected using an incorrect procedure (with the power incorrectly ON/OFF) and the camera’s auto power save function (or the LCD monitor’s power off mode) is activated, you may not be able to reactivate the camera from power save mode in the usual manner (for example, by pressing the shutter button halfway).
Below you can find how to solve and avoid this. Please check the appropriate course of action for your model/camera.

FUJIFILM FinePix S5Pro (DX-S5Pro Housing)

If the camera’s automatic power save function is activated and the camera automatically enters the standby mode while the TTL converter is OFF, you may not be able to reactivate the camera even if you press the shutter button halfway or press the playback button.
Solution;
- Turn off the camera. Remove the batteries from the camera and then reinsert them.
Prevention measures;
- If the power of the device connected to the TTL converter is on, do not turn off the converter at all while it is being used.
- It is recommended to turn off the camera’s auto power save function.

Nikon D300 (MDX-D300 Housing)

If the camera’s LCD monitor is automatically turned off while the TTL converter is OFF, you may not be able to reactivate the camera even if you press the shutter button halfway.
Solution;
- Turn on the TTL converter and press the shutter button halfway.
- If the camera still does not reactivate, turn the camera’s power OFF and then ON again.
Prevention measures;
- If the power of the device connected to the TTL converter is on, do not turn off the converter at all while it is being used.
